IOM3 Travel Grants

Andrew Carnegie Research Fund & Metals and Metallurgy Trust

Small grants from the Andrew Carnegie Research Fund (for work in the materials field) and the Metals and Metallurgy Trust (for work in metals/metallurgy) are available to help younger members of the Institute with the expense involved in travelling long distances to conferences, normally outside their country of residence.

Applications are only considered from IOM3 members and the age limit is usually 35.

Please note you can only apply to one fund per calendar year.

Pai Lin Li Travel Grant (IStructE)

An unrivalled opportunity for young IStructE members aged under 35 to pursue innovative and creative ideas abroad. The grant provides a fantastic opportunity to spend four to six weeks experiencing the technical, economic, social and political conditions in another country and to examine how these various factors affect the practice of structural engineering.
