Water Resources Management Plan 2019

5 February 2019
Pugsley Lecture Theatre, Queen’s Building, BS8 1TR

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and Institute of Water (IoW) would like to invite you to an evening talk which will explore Bristol Water’s resource management plan.

Our speaker is Patric Bulmer, who is Head of Water Resource and Environment at Bristol Water.  Patric will touch on all the aspects of water resource planning, from identifying new sources of water to engaging with water users to help them use water efficiently.  He will also cover one of the most high-profile topics on water management; leakage; and why this should not be left up to his cat, Milo.

With rapid population growth in the South West of England and the increasing challenge of protecting the environment in the face of climate change, the work required to ensure a resilient and affordable water supply both now and for the long-term future is complicated.  But water is important to every part of our lives and, as it affects every part of our society, water planning is based on principles that can engage everyone.

This event is FREE and open to all (including the general public)

Sandwiches and refreshments are available from 18:00 with the talk commencing at 18:30.
