Water resources in the south and east of the UK are under ever increasing stress from climate change, population growth, changing customer behaviour, and land-use. Up until recently, much of the water resources planning and drought resilience decision making has been carried out by individual water companies within their own company boundaries. However, much more is being done to look at water resources resilience nationally and regionally.

This event will allow members and non-members to understand what water resources plans are being developed locally and regionally to meet the national water resources drought resilience challenge.

We have some superb speakers lined up, including:

  • Meyrick Gough - Water Resources South East (WRSE)
  • Robin Price - Water Resources East (WRE)
  • Bob Taylor - Director of Engineering at Portsmouth Water
  • TBC - Water Company Water Resources Specialist

With these excellent presenters lined up we will be able to give you the regional view of water resource strategy, whilst ensuring that there is good linkage with individual water company plans to deliver.

There will be a Q&A panel discussion following the presentations to enhance understanding and share ideas. There will be plenty of opportunities before, during, and after the event to network, share knowledge, and make new connections.
