About 21st Century PEI
Launched in July 2016, the 21st Century PEI initiative provided an initial forum for Chief Executives of engineering membership organisations to share and develop ideas for collaboration.
Using a workshop methodology and over a period of one year, the group identified a series of topics and ideas for joint effort. A ‘blueprint’ of common goals was developed, and in particular the group focussed on a better understanding of the needs of its younger members. A series of priorities were identified which broadly required improved knowledge exchange across the entire professional engineering and science community.
Importantly, an independent, single source of information was required and this 21st Century PEI site was seen as ideal to develop a delivery mechanism of value to young members.
Our aim is to enable members of any professional engineering organisation to be aware of activity across the thirty five (35) PEI groups, and to thereby derive the full benefit of belonging to a connected membership space.
More services and connections will be added later, but at this time we thank those younger members who provided the initial strategy for a new benefit through combined effort.
